This Privacy Policy explains how MyShopBill ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Jeevan Kumar, sole proprietor trading as MyShopBill, collects, uses, stores and protects information about you and your business when you use our cloud Point of Sale platform.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, email, phone, business name, country, password (hashed).
  • Business data: products, sales, invoices, inventory, customers, employees and other records you create or upload.
  • Payment information: handled directly by Razorpay / Stripe; we store only transaction IDs, plan, amount and status — never full card numbers or CVV.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, operating system, pages visited, referrer URL.
  • Cookies & similar technologies for authentication, preferences and analytics.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create and operate your account and shops.
  • To process subscription payments and prevent fraud.
  • To send transactional emails (verification, receipts, password resets, support replies).
  • To provide customer support.
  • To improve, secure and monitor the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
  • With your consent, to send product updates and marketing communications (you can unsubscribe any time).

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Payment processors (Razorpay, Stripe) — to process subscriptions.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, error monitoring) under strict data-processing agreements.
  • Law-enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process.
  • Successors in case of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.

4. Data Retention

We retain your business data for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after termination, unless a longer retention period is required by law. After that, data is permanently deleted or anonymized.

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, encrypted backups, hashed passwords (bcrypt/argon2), role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

  • Export your business data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
